According to current research, as much as 80% of people grind or clench their teeth at some point in their lives, making them vulnerable to a condition known as bruxism. Humans can generate up to 280 pounds of force with just their teeth! This tremendous force can have a detrimental effect on the teeth and the jaws, oftentimes resulting in a disorder known as TMD. Dr. Jaju has received special training in customizing splints based on your specific TMJ issues.
You will finally be able to stop damaging your teeth and jaws, and stop waking up with pain and headaches. If necessary, you may require caps on the teeth to prevent fracturing, in order to restore them back to their original forms. Are you or a loved one suffering from persisting grinding or clenching? Please don’t hesitate to let us know so we can address it as soon as possible.
